Originally an old fishing village this resort is now a lively sprawling town, just 30km from the Kerkyra Airport, It is a very popular resort for any one looking for a lively place to go, between June and September, the long narrow beach is full of sun beds, umbrellas and water sports.
There isn’t much of traditional Greek life here, but there is a regular bus service that goes to Corfu town and other interesting villages.
